AKU Superalp GTX Shoes

The Aku Superalp GTX is a hiking shoe that remains comfortable even on long treks or when carrying heavy loads. The Italian shoe specialist AKU has developed the IMS3 Exoskeleton sole for this purpose. The lower part features an outer skeleton made of polyurethane, which rises at the back to encase and protect the heel. This provides optimal support and stability while walking. The asymmetrical structure, with a wider inner section and a polyurethane elevation, offers support to the midfoot and prevents overloading and pronation. The upper part of the midsole, with its lightweight polyurethane inner section, provides shock absorption and high pressure resistance. The Vibram sole ensures perfect grip. The upper material of the Superalp GTX is also impressive: the suede leather, combined with the integrated Gore-Tex membrane, offers breathability and weather protection.
