Royal Canin Mother & Babycat has been specifically designed to meet the unique needs of pregnant and nursing cats, as well as their kittens from 1 to 4 months of age.

Kittens absorb colostrum through their mother's milk during the first weeks of life. This allows the mother to transfer antibodies she has acquired throughout her life to her young. Natural immunity from the mother's colostrum and lactose tolerance gradually decrease 4 to 12 months after birth. The weaning process should begin slowly during this time.

Royal Canin Mother & Babycat facilitates the transition from mother's milk to solid food. The specially developed kibble can be easily soaked. Additionally, its soft texture makes it easier for kittens to chew and swallow, simplifying the transition to solid food. It also contains a patented antioxidant complex that provides both mother and kittens with essential Vitamin E, which contributes to the development of the kitten's natural defenses and supports the immune system during the growth phase.

Royal Canin Mother & Babycat is enriched with highly digestible proteins and prebiotics to reduce the amount of undigested nutrients. It also provides the natural Omega-3 fatty acid DHA, which aids in the development of the kittens' brain function.
