Kattovit Kidney/Renal Feline Diet

To support kidney function in chronic kidney insufficiency, this food has been specially developed to provide cats with a reduced protein content. By using high-quality protein in an easily digestible composition, it ensures that high protein levels, which can be harmful to the kidneys, are avoided. The protein content is crucial in relation to the amount of energy provided. Unlike conventional food, Kattovit Kidney/Renal supplies only about half of its energy from protein. The addition of potassium citrate helps to create less acidic urine (neutral) and can thus prevent the formation of oxalate crystals. The levels of phosphorus and sodium are reduced.

Recommended feeding duration: Initially up to 6 months, and for acute kidney insufficiency, 2–4 weeks. It is advised to consult a veterinarian before use or before extending the feeding duration. Fresh water should always be available. An average-sized cat (4 kg) receives about 60 g per day.

Ingredients: Meat and animal by-products, eggs and egg products, cereals, plant by-products, oils and fats, yeasts, fish and fish by-products, minerals (0.1% potassium citrate). Analytical constituents: Crude protein 25.5%, fat content 19.5%, essential fatty acids 4.0%, crude ash 5.0%, crude fiber 3.0%, calcium 0.65%, phosphorus 0.4%, potassium 0.7%, sodium 0.3%, chloride 0.3%, sulfur 0.5%, magnesium 0.08%, hydroxyproline 0.10%, total vitamin D: 1,400 I.E./kg.
