A Floor Lamp with Many Facets

Although the Taccia PMMA LED floor lamp is designed as a standing lamp for the floor, it can also be used as a table lamp. This designer floor lamp provides indirect light, but various light reflections can also be created. Functionality is enhanced with a dimmer feature. The designer table lamp, created in 1962, has a height of 64.5 centimeters. The body is made of aluminum with a diameter of 19 centimeters, and the diffuser, made of transparent blown glass, measures 49.5 centimeters. Design with Italian Joy of Life

The lamp was designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, who have made design history in Italy. From the mid-1940s to the early 1950s, the two worked with their brother Livio in a shared office, which he left in 1952. Characteristic of the Castiglioni's design is the extravagant shaping, while they never lose sight of the functionality of the respective object. They have created pieces that immediately catch the viewer's attention.
