This increases lateral stability and prevents the seat from tipping when cornering. In some cases, the seat is more stable in the vehicle if the vehicle headrest is removed or reinserted facing backwards...

The current Stiftung Warentest study offers test results for another 20 child seats and infant carriers - for all age groups. Many of them passed our crash tests without serious safety problems. Others, however, failed the accident test or had a pollutant problem - grade: Poor.
