That largely depends on you preferences: if you f.ex. if you use it or have a usecase for that - or not at all... i use the ones without and never had a usecase (exept in the car on the phone) for that voice activated flimflam at home, where i have in most cases two hands free, and i don't like the idea, that there are microphones constantly listening... but that are only my2cents.

I have no experience with Sonos. But here is a guide. It's best to create a separate account for the Sonos app and share the folder(s) on the NAS with this account (readonly). https://support.sonos.com/s/article/78?language=en_US

Hi @domkikong If you want to control the sonos boxes via a hotspot, you need 2 separate devices. With the first you create the hotspot and with the second you connect to the hotspot and set up the sonos boxes. It doesn't work with just one device (e.g. smartphone). Btw, you would also always need 2 devices for playback. Maybe other boxes that can connect via BT would be better.

Hello Pewy91 You can connect these two Sonos One speakers to your wifi as a stereo pair via the Sonos app. Then you can play music via the app. You need a Sonos account to do this, but it's very easy to set up. If you have Spotify, you can also play music via Spotify Connect. :)

Well, you can say that what is said simply has to be heard. So imagine you're talking to a friend 11 metres away. If he understands you well, the microphones on the Sonos One will hear you too. Of course, you can also speak louder.

I hope I have given you the right answer: Alexa lists all speakers individually, this is normal, even if they are in a SONOS group. I assume Alexa is supposed to treat the whole thing as a speaker group. To do this, you must also assign this speaker group as a group in Alexa under alexa.amazon.de. Important: The individual speakers are still listed individually, but you then also have an additional group, which are all addressed directly with a command with synchronisation. If your concern is something else, then unfortunately I can't help either, as I only own HEOS. I have experience with SONOS through customer assignments ;-)

Unfortunately, I have not yet managed to set up the Sonos Gen2 as a standard speaker. So far, I have always had to address them separately when giving a verbal command. But I have not yet dealt with it extensively. If I manage it, I will report it.

I think it's relatively clear that no online shop would show prices with price increases...I've never seen it like that before. And Black Friday is the day with the most discounts in the year, so it's not surprising that the items cost more again afterwards.

The SONOS devices are all compatible with each other. You only need reception via WLAN or via the SONOS network (also your own WLAN).
