Hello, these panels are too thin for effective sound insulation to the outside, and in my opinion this product is intended for installation in cars (according to the manufacturer's website). However, these panels are more for room acoustics and not for sound insulation, i.e. the aim is to minimise sound reflections (reverberation/echo).

Is this for on the wall or in the PC?

Short answer: It works for both. I also recommend it for the PC if you don't care about insulation efficiency. Long answer: This sound insulation is better suited for walls, for example to reduce the echo of a voice when recording with a microphone. It also insulates relatively well in the PC, but flat sound insulation is better for this. Pay attention to the adhesive side. The adhesive is relatively "sticky haha" and will leave a mess on the surface! Greetings!

Hello Erich, Good 1 cm. I stuck them on my shelf to muffle the sound from my NAS a little. But I can't tell you if it's really quieter. Since the shelf is open at the front and back, it probably didn't help much. Maybe it's better in a closed cupboard. You can cut the mats well and they stick really well. Best regards

Hi, I am not an expert, but it could work if you install it in the room where noise is coming from (your neighbour)... Sorry for not being more helpful. Good luck!

I am satisfied with the product inside a rack. I wouldn't recommend it for sound insulation on ceilings because foam ages quickly and anything glued is hard to remove later. For an open-plan office, I recommend a suspended ceiling. It is highly recommended to consult a professional, you can always screw it up yourself. The material is available at Sabag, for example, but not the advice.
