The CLV220A is an active optical HDMI 2.0 cable designed for permanent installations. It is capable of transmitting resolutions up to Ultra HD 4K 2160p (3840 x 2160) at 60 Hz with a bandwidth of 18 Gbps using OM3 fiber optic technology, effectively eliminating electronic interference. The interchangeable connectors allow for easy disconnection and reconnection of the connectors. This enables the cable to be routed through holes and straight pipes with a diameter of just 25 mm. The CLV220A comes with a supplied USB A to USB Micro B cable, which is only needed as an accessory if the HDMI connection on the transmitter side provides insufficient voltage (typically below 4.8 V) to power the receiver end. Power is transmitted from the transmitter side to the receiver side through the CLV220A cable. Most common HDMI sources provide sufficient voltage, so the additional cable is not usually required. However, typical applications where this may be necessary include streaming media player boxes that may deliver insufficient voltage through their HDMI output.
