Winterise your garden early!

"BEFORE" winter, you need to pay attention to three letters. V for covering the garden, O for tidying up and R for cleaning the garden and then the tools. If you follow all three points, you can get any garden Winter Party-ready.
V like covering the garden
As soon as the first frost arrives, many plants need additional winter protection to prevent them from freezing. Fleece offers particularly good protection against frost, snow and wind and is suitable for sensitive plants and extreme temperatures. However, remember that not all plants and shrubs are Winter Party resistant. It is better to take them indoors or put them in the cellar. After cleaning and caring for the barbecue, gas cylinder and garden furniture, you should cover them with suitable protective covers. Alternatively, place them in the garage or cellar. Otherwise, they will be exposed to the elements throughout the winter and may rust or deteriorate.

O how to create order
Organisation is half the battle. The same applies here: everything that is well stowed away is protected from the weather. If you don't have a garage or cellar, or if they are simply overcrowded or too small, there are various storage aids. Depending on the size of your garden or balcony and, of course, the material you need to store, you can choose a box, a cupboard or a larger garden shed.
R as in cleaning the garden and then the equipment
One or two tools will help you clean the garden. Use a pressure washer to remove and rinse off stubborn dirt quickly and reliably. Use a wet and dry vacuum cleaner to clean wet and dry dirt. Use an ash vacuum cleaner to remove ash from ovens, fireplaces and barbecues. A sweeper is much more efficient than a conventional broom because it can clean a larger area at once. The leaf blower helps you sweep up stubborn and heavy garden waste such as wet leaves or pine cones. In contrast to the blower, the leaf vacuum is practical for cleaning hard surfaces such as driveways or garages, but also in flower beds and on the lawn. Some vacuums not only vacuum, but can also blow or shred. If this is not the case with your model, simply use a shredding machine.
Finally, cleaning the machines is very important so that you can continue to enjoy them next year. To prevent frost damage to appliances that are operated with water, you should remove any residual water after use. Remove dirt, dust and contents from all machines. It is best to store the appliances in a heated room. If this is not possible due to lack of space, there are various storage options available to you, as mentioned above.
