by Norina Brun
At Digitec and Galaxus, we’re welcoming the 44-year-old tech and gadget expert Lorenz Keller; he’s leaving Ringier and will soon be producing test reports and writing news articles and commentaries for our online shop.
In November, Lorenz Keller announced on LinkedIn that he’ll be leaving Ringier’s tech site «Daskannwas.ch» during its restructuring. We can now share with you just where the experienced and respected tech editor is headed – Digitec Galaxus. Lorenz will be starting with us in April 2023, helping to provide our readers with authentic and well-tested product reviews. As with «Daskannwas.ch», he’ll be focusing on a broad range of tech and home products – from the latest smartphone to vacuum cleaner robots, and from electric blankets to kitchen appliances. Lorenz has been working as a journalist since 1998. He has held positions in regional journalism, was part of the team that launched the free newspaper «.ch», has experience as a car editor and worked for many years as a digital editor at «Blick».
At Digitec Galaxus, our editorial team now comprises more than 30 people and operates independently of our shop’s sales targets. The team writes critical and authentic test reports and guides for our readership, researching background information and providing news. Martin Jungfer, Head of Content, is pleased with the prominent addition of Lorenz. «We’ve become an attractive employer for people who want to break new ground in journalism but don’t want to do PR or classic content marketing. What we get to do at Digitec Galaxus is exciting and unique.»
For Lorenz, the job at Digitec Galaxus is a wish come true: «I’ll get to continue doing what I love – testing gadgets of all kinds, comparing products and providing content. I’m particularly excited about that.» It’s definitely a win-win situation for everyone. Team leader Simon Balissat is also pleased: «With Lorenz Keller, we’ll be strengthening the part of our team that deals with household items in particular. Lorenz has tested everything from automatic feeders and vacuum cleaners to solar panels, critically analysing them and giving honest feedback. The fact that he can also contribute his expertise in mobile and tech is a stroke of luck for us.»

When I flew the family nest over 15 years ago, I suddenly had to cook for myself. But it wasn’t long until this necessity became a virtue. Today, rattling those pots and pans is a fundamental part of my life. I’m a true foodie and devour everything from junk food to star-awarded cuisine. Literally. I eat way too fast.
