With Michael Stolle, Digitec Galaxus is onboarding an experienced e-commerce and logistics expert as new Chief Operating Officer (COO). He’ll join the company on 1 March next year and will be responsible for logistics, customer service and the brick-and-morter stores of Switzerland's largest online retailer. Michael Stolle, originally from Munich, has been working for the online retailer Westwing Home & Living since 2013 and currently assumes the position of COO of Westwing Group.
«Michael has a wealth of experience and a true passion when it comes to managing dynamic, innovative companies. His down-to-earth personality and approachable style are a perfect match for Digitec Galaxus,» says CEO Florian Teuteberg. «We’re delighted to have recruited Michael for this key position. He’ll play a major role in developing and enhancing the company.»
Ambitious plans for the future
Michael Stolle studied industrial engineering and management in Karlsruhe and earned his doctorate in strategic purchasing management at EBS University in Oestrich-Winkel, Germany. He launched his professional career in 2003 at the consulting firm McKinsey. As a nature lover and skiing fan, I’m also looking forward to being even closer to the Swiss mountains.»
Michael Stolle is married and has a 9-year-old daughter. The 44-year-old succeeds Johannes Cramer, who’s changing to the Executive Board of Swiss Post as head of the new Logistics Services Division at the start of the coming year.
