Rebekka Fricke is the new Chief People & Culture Officer

Digitec Galaxus has filled the newly created position of Chief People & Culture Officer. Rebekka Fricke has joined the Executive Board and taken over the leadership of HR matters.

As of 1 March 2023, Rebekka Fricke will take on the new role of Chief People & Culture Office (CPCO) at Digitec Galaxus. The 39-year-old leader has been working at Switzerland’s largest online retailer for nearly 15 years, most recently heading People & Organisational Development (POD). The art historian and philosopher launched her career in 2008 as a call centre agent in Digitec’s customer service department, where she gained her first management experience as a team leader. From 2011 to 2014, she was responsible for quality management within customer service and in our Digitec stores. She then switched to Business Development, where she took over the operational management of various projects. In 2018, she switched to organisational development in the then newly formed POD department, which she’s been leading and actively shaping for the past three years.

She lives and breathes our values and is capable of communicating our corporate culture across departmental and national boundaries,» says Florian Teuteberg, CEO of Digitec Galaxus. «I’m convinced she’ll prove instrumental in leading us towards a successful future.»

With this new organisational structure, Digitec Galaxus has united HR issues under one roof, highlighting their importance at all levels. «For 14 years, I’ve had the pleasure of growing alongside our company. For the next growth steps, Digitec Galaxus needs committed and qualified employees, level-headed leaders, as well as flexible processes and structures. The interaction of these elements is necessary for innovation and outstanding customer service. I’m looking forward to working with the entire Executive Board as well as the People & Culture Team to develop the best solutions for us,» says Rebekka Fricke. Together with her teams in Switzerland, Germany and Serbia, she’ll be responsible for all HR-related topics and their development.
