She's turning heads: no more problems with the ketchup bottle

As simple as it is effective: Heinz turns the label so that the consumer finds the perfect angle.
When I was a kid, ketchup was part of my staple diet. Whether it was to top pasta, meat, rice or even bread, this red sauce was a no-brainer. The only problem? Getting it out of the glass bottle. Either everything comes out, or nothing at all. There are no half measures. Even though ketchup is no longer at the centre of my diet, the problem remains.
Heinz Canada has, however, found a solution by repositioning the label askew. By turning the bottle so that the sticker is horizontal, you get the right angle for pouring the ketchup, which is around 45 degrees. Super clever!
Unfortunately, these bottles are only available in Toronto, and in limited quantities at that. But there are other ways to make it easier.
Do-it-yourself
Use steam to remove the label and reposition it at a 45-degree angle! And presto, no fuss, no muss!
Lucky number 57
Even on conventional Heinz ketchup bottles, there's a trick: turn the bottle and hit the little 57 at the neck! It works, or so Heinz claims.
Plastic bottle
The plastic version is certainly less environmentally friendly, but more practical, as the ketchup comes out easily. But don't forget to shake well beforehand for a smooth mix!
By the way, this isn't Heinz's only special edition. The "Edchup" - the result of a collaboration with Ed Sheeran - has just been released. The British musician is said to be a huge fan of ketchup. Cool, even if it's far less useful than the upside-down label edition, though. After all, shaking it around is part of the game, isn't it?
P.S.: the correct pronunciation of this sweet tomato sauce is "ketcheup" and not "ketseup", isn't it Arthur?
