Mighty Melt: nothing special, but that’s exactly why it’s so good

Apply, massage in, wash off. If it’s a beauty product that you’re not putting on your face for long, you want it to be fairly no-nonsense. Otherwise you may as well just flush your money down the drain. That’s why I like the cleansing balm from Geek & Gorgeous.
Cleansing balms are my favourite type of cleanser. They’re soft, buttery and require a bit of a massage, which gives you a few seconds of spa feeling even after the most stressful day. That’s why I like to try out new brands and products, especially in this category. I’m currently a big fan of the Mighty Melt cleansing balm from Geek & Gorgeous’s 101 skincare range.

I use the cleansing balm as the second step in my double-cleansing routine. In other words, I start by using a different product to remove heavier-duty stuff like waterproof mascara and foundation. I then use the Mighty Melt to thoroughly remove any remaining residue. On make-up-free days, I just use the balm.
The rich product melts into a silky oil on contact with the skin. If you wet your fingers, it turns into a milky emulsion that’s easy to wash off and doesn’t leave a greasy film or dry skin. Simple and effective.
Nice extras:
- a surprisingly short list of ingredients
- inexpensive compared to other balms
- also suitable for sensitive skin
- contains no essential oils or other fragrances
- vegan, gluten-free and cruelty-free
At Galaxus, you’ll find over 80,000 beauty products – and there’s even more on the way. That’s quite a range. With so much to choose from, I like to share my favourites regularly, focussing on novelties as well as classics.

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
