Laura's Likes: 7 peach looks in honour of the Pantone colour 2024
2024 is all about the peach. Why? Pantone has chosen "Peach Fuzz" as the colour of the year. Find out what it stands for here.
From Timothée Chalamet, who went wild for a peach in 2017's "Call Me By Your Name", to Justin Bieber, whose "Peaches" made for endless earworms in 2021, to the clearly ambiguous fruit emoji - peaches are an integral part of our pop culture. So much so that the small, velvety fruit has now received the accolade of Pantone LLC and has been chosen as the official colour for 2024 under the name "Peach Fuzz".
After its predecessor "Viva Magenta"which should make us burst with fearlessness, vigour and vitality, "Peach Fuzz" focuses more on spirit and soul as well as cosy charity. Pantone Executive Director Leatrice Eiseman summarises the colour vision as follows:
In developing a shade that reflects our inherent longing for closeness and connection, we chose a colour that radiates warmth and modern elegance. It is like a tangible embrace and effortlessly bridges the gap between youthfulness and timelessness.

Big expectations for a small peach. And a real turnaround in terms of trends. After all, this year we've been wearing vibrant, rich colours such as the aforementioned "Viva Magenta", Yves Klein blue and rare red. But maybe you're ready for softer tones now too. For closeness and connection, for a pop-cultural embrace. If so, why not browse through my top 7 peach-coloured Galaxus pieces - or take a look at my colleague Maike, who has already scoured our range for "peach fuzz" outside of fashion.
Always in the mood for good hits, great trips and clinking drinks.
