Product test
My January skincare favourites
by Natalie Hemengül
I have decided not to buy any beauty products for two months. To make my plan really painful, I'm putting together a list of products that I would love to have but am not buying. For now.
Dark, cold days are heaven on earth for me. Although I have nothing against summer, I prefer the dreariness that autumn and winter bring. A hot cup of black tea, comfy clothes, a pink blanket wrapped around my legs on the sofa and a "King of Queens" series marathon while the rain beats demandingly on the window panes outside - there's nothing better for me. This cosy atmosphere also finds its way into my bathroom. Beauty products that require "me time" and rich moisturising are particularly appealing to my optic nerve at this time of year. It's just a shame that I've committed to the "No Buy" Challenge until the end of December. Nevertheless, I am currently flirting with one or two products (designs). Flirting, not buying.
After my last "3 im Test">review of the balancing facial soap with sea salt and shea butter from I Want You Naked, their new mini soap set is twice as tempting to me. In addition to my personal test winner, it also contains honey and beeswax as well as mint and poppy seeds. Also on my must-have list: the pastel-coloured mask kit for eyes and lips from Patchology. According to the manufacturer, this is designed to combat dark circles under the eyes with the help of vitamin C and green tea and nourish the lips with coconut and lavender. The "Cleanse & Glow" set from Dermalogica includes two other products as well as the water-soluble cleansing oil "Precleanse", which I adore. Ever since I tested it, I've been dying to discover more. I already own a small jade roller, which is particularly suitable for working in skincare products around the eye area. Nevertheless, I'm thinking about getting a slightly larger, double-sided model like the one from Lovis. The narrow end is the equivalent of the one I already have at home and the other wider end is for massaging the face over a large area. The "Brighteyes Illuminating Anti-Fatigue" eye cream from Glamglow also triggers me. It contains linoleic acid and watermelon extract and has attractive packaging. Nevertheless, it only gets a place on my wish list, but not in my bathroom cabinet. The beard oil from Borodist is easier for me to resist. Here, it's just the packaging that grabs me. And where there's no beard... [[product:12005177,12015372,10368511]]
And then, last but not least, there's this product range that I've just discovered: Yope is the name of the Polish brand that has recently joined our range, offering body butter, shampoo, hand cream and more with a high proportion of natural ingredients in amazing packaging. Ouch. [[product:12009408,12011224,12008830]]

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
