If I were to shop in the menswear range, I’d buy these pieces
We can no longer deny that autumn’s around the corner. No problem – as long as you have the right pieces in your wardrobe.
Just a moment ago, shorts couldn’t be short enough – and now we’re all getting our between-seasons jackets out. Whether you like it or not, autumn has arrived. No point in getting sad or mad about it. Let’s just make the best of it! After all, when it comes to fashion, autumn’s the season where you can play with layers as much as you like.
However, to make layering clothes a truly enjoyable experience, you need the right ingredients. So, I’ve done some research to find out what’s particularly popular this year, and have put together a handy five-course menu for anyone with an appetite for menswear.
Appetiser: branded beanies

It’s well known that we lose a lot of heat through the head. To prevent this – and possibly catching the first cold of the season – you’re better off showcasing your favourite brands. Branded beanies that show the world where you went shopping are the fashion icing on the cake for any outfit this autumn (and winter).
First course: Rugby shirts
After bowling and football, a new sport is well on its way to taking centre stage in the fashion world – rugby. The long-sleeved, striped shirts with polo collars are the ideal between-season solution for weather that’s too cold for a T-shirt, but still too warm for a jumper. They give you a splash of colour and style – all without scrums, tackles or cauliflower ears.
Second course: baggy jeans

I already mentioned this summer’s extra-short shorts above. Their autumn equivalent couldn’t be more different. When it comes to jeans, it’s the longer and wider, the better. This autumn, look for jeans in the categories Loose Fit and Baggy.
Main course: wool jackets
Large checks in muted colours – that’s the description of autumn fashion. And it’s what’s popular this year for between-season jackets, too. Especially ones in boxy cut and with a contrasting collar.
Dessert: lace-ups

Last but not least – footwear. Sure, loafers are still in fashion, but it’s the year of low-cut lace-ups. Low-cut shoes with chunky soles such as Clarks Wallabees or Dr Martens Derby shoes put socks in the spotlight and make any outfit, no matter how casual, look a little more dressed up.
Always in the mood for good hits, great trips and clinking drinks.
