Galaxus opens beauty shop in Zurich

Galaxus is shaking up the beauty scene with its very own beauty salon «Beauty Lab by Galaxus & En Vogue» opening in Zurich. As the name suggests, Switzerland’s largest online shop has teamed up with beauty service provider En Vogue Coiffure. The result? Services and products covering hair care, cosmetics and fragrances.

Galaxus already provides shoppers with an online range of over 80,000 beauty products. Now, Switzerland’s largest online shop is also offering live experience in its own beauty salon – a collaboration with beauty service provider En Vogue Coiffure. Customers can expect the full package: expertise, services and products for hair, body and face as well as make-up and fragrances.

Online trade remains core business of Galaxus

«’Beauty Lab by Galaxus & En Vogue’ allows us to meet the high demand for a quality experience of prestige and luxury brands – both online and offline,» says Stefan Fraude, Head of Category Management. «Our expertise is e-commerce and that’s not about to change,» he adds. Thanks to the salon, Galaxus can now sell renowned beauty brands online. Initially, the price tags at Beauty Lab will be tangible. However, these will be replaced by dynamic price tags in the near future. This will allow the online retailer to ensure that both online and offline product prices are aligned.

Holistic beauty experience

Galaxus customers can expect an extensive product range paired with many different services and expertise – from trendy hairstyles to professional make-up. Claudio Tollardo, CEO and owner of En Vogue Coiffure, is particularly excited about this collaboration: «We’re thrilled to be able to offer customers a holistic and high-quality experience in the Beauty Lab.»

Beauty Lab product tests and tutorials

«Beauty Lab by Galaxus & En Vogue» on Kasernenstrasse 11 in Zurich is divided into two areas: retail and lounge. This is a space where customers get to discover, test and buy new products at the same price as on galaxus.ch. Then there’s a service area for hair styling, make-up and other beauty treatments. «This is where we’ll be carrying out and filming beauty tutorials and product tests in the future,» store manager Gorica Atanasova explains. The content will be published on the social media channels of «Beauty Lab by Galaxus & En Vogue».
