Focus on white trousers

The non-colour white is particularly popular on warm summer days. But you need to pay attention to a few things when styling it. I'll tell you what.
While I tend to go for muted colours in winter, it's the bright, vibrant ones that win me over when the temperatures are high. Nothing beats a bright white colour that not only looks pretty but also reflects the sun's rays. In other words, you won't get hot as quickly as you would in black clothes, which absorb the sunlight and therefore make you sweat faster. But because the non-colour isn't that easy to style, I'll tell you how it works.
Bermudas

Shorts are a must on days like these. The cut is important for shorts. Choose a long enough model that covers the knees or ends just above them. Hotpants look ridiculous on men. From a certain age (10+), they simply have no place on your legs. Bermudas are enhanced with boat shoes or white trainers. Sandals, on the other hand, make them look even more casual and should therefore only be combined with them in your free time.
Jeans
If it's still fresh in the morning and not quite so hot during the day, white jeans are worth considering. You can combine them with sandals and a light top. Models with a high-waist waistband are particularly pretty. Caution: the non-colour per se is bulky. Any little tummy is emphasised by the high waist. When it comes to shoe colour, sandals in white, silver, gold or brown are the right choice.
Chinos
These cotton trousers are the chic version and are also suitable for the office. If you wear these trousers to work, I recommend wearing trainers underneath. Alternatively, you can wear Birkenstock sandals in your free time. On top, I recommend a linen shirt, which is the ideal mix of sporty and elegant in high temperatures. A wristwatch rounds off the look.
Fabric trousers
I don't know about you, but I prefer airy fabrics on warm days. Anything tight-fitting sticks uncomfortably to my legs, or at least feels that way. Wide culottes, palazzo or paperbag trousers then take priority. If I don't want my look to look quite so sporty, I combine them with a tight-fitting top and sandals with a wide block heel.
Not like this:
This trousers from French fashion brand Project X Paris is a good example of how not to do it. Trousers should not be tight-fitting on men. The cargo details, i.e. the patch pockets, don't even look flattering on slim model legs. They emphasise too much of a good thing. Make sure that the fabric is not transparent, but also not too thick, as otherwise it will be unnecessarily bulky. There is a simple trick for this: place your hand under the fabric and see if you can recognise the contours or hands underneath. If this is the case, hands off.
More tips:
Perfect match: No, don't wear white underwear under white fabrics. Many people make this mistake - not just waitresses who wear a bra of the same colour under their white work blouse. The same applies to trousers. Choose for this
skin-coloured underwear.
Fit: White comes into its own as an airy fabric. A tight fit is desirable, but should not be constricting. Otherwise there's a risk of bunching. After all, hardly anyone wants to walk around like this.
Saubermann: Unfortunately, non-colour tends to get dirty quickly. That's why you should clean the garment after wearing it once or twice. To do this, use a powder detergent and wash the garment as hot as possible so that it stays bright white and doesn't turn greyish over time.
