Scandi chic with a Yass factor
by Vanessa Kim
I scroll through our fashion range every day. To give you a small but nice overview, I'm going to introduce you to a product that I like every week. Today: a jumper.
As a small child, my mum only put me in my grandmother's home-knitted jumpers. They were lovely jumpers, please don't get me wrong, but they were itchy and I wanted to rip them off my body in heated rooms. That's why I'm a bit of a basket case when it comes to knitwear. As a result, when I was old enough to dress myself, I refused to wear any - not even in winter. I was very creative and went for the onion look instead. It's still a mystery to me that I didn't end up as a frostbite back then. In the meantime, I've become a frostbite (a first sign of ageing?) and love to snuggle up in chunky knitwear. Jumpers, cardigans, blankets? Bring it on. The wool simply must not scratch. My current object of desire is the "Vizazi" jumper from Vila. This model combines all the features I look for in a jumper:
The knit is thick enough to keep you warm and thin enough that I can tuck it into the waistband of high-waisted trousers if necessary. This makes it very versatile when it comes to styling. My favourite way to combine the jumper is with skinny jeans (outside the waistband) and light suede ankle boots. Beige or dark blue corduroy trousers, currently a big trend in fashion, also work well. In addition to the geometric pattern, which I love, the golden lurex threads, which you only recognise on closer inspection, create a surprising effect. [[image:18053720]] [[product:8813174]]
By the way: I still don't wear turtleneck jumpers. I have exactly one model in my wardrobe - with an extra-wide turtleneck - which is rarely used. I don't seem to have completely overcome my aversion to knitwear yet...
