Copy Paste: mini skirt and knee-high boots – the best combo for late summer

In high boots and a short skirt, you extend summer and welcome autumn at the same time. Here’s how to get this trendy duo right.
Knee-high boots and a mini skirt have been one of my absolute favourite fashion combos for a few months now. In fact, I like this look so much that I even wear it at high temperatures, accepting a little congestion heat around my calves. Now that we’re heading into autumn, my fav combo finally fits the weather.
High boots and a short skirt is an ideal combo if you can’t quite let go of summer yet and want to gently ease into autumn – one garment at a time, starting with the boots. Want to see an example of a simple, beautiful late-summer look? Check out influencer Marleen Elisabeth.

In the above picture, Marleen Elisabeth is wearing two basics I think are wardrobe essentials – a white t-shirt and a loose-fitting black blazer. She combines this with a denim skirt in washed-out grey-blue. The bordeaux knee-high boots are an eye-catcher, adding a subtle, autumnal touch to her look. Auburn boots are also a great alternative. A large hobo bag in matching colour rounds out Marleen’s outfit nicely and picks up the casual-chic vibe. Large creole earrings and several silver rings on her fingers add the finishing touches to her look.
