
Barbecue recipe: How to make the perfect burger

The guys from "THE CLUB" show us what you can do with a barbecue. Today they have a delicious burger recipe in store for us. Simple, quick and delicious. Everything we want!
"THE CLUB" are two young Swiss people who share recipes on their website theclub.ch for easy cooking. They threw themselves on the barbecue for us. In today's recipe, they show us how to prepare a burger properly on the barbecue and what ingredients you need for it.
Shopping list for two people
- 0.5 piece of tomato
- 2 leaves of lettuce
- 0.25 piece of onion
- 400 grams of minced beef
- 10 grams of butter
- 30 grams of mild cheese
- 2 pieces of burger bun
- 1 piece of pickled gherkin
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp mustard, coarse-grained
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt, coarse-grained
- Black pepper
Cooking process
Preparation time: 30 minutes
- Take the butter out of the fridge
- Divide the minced beef into two equal portions, shape into two burgers and leave to stand in the fridge for 30 minutes
- Cut the burger buns in half
- Mix the mustard and mayonnaise to make a sauce and season with salt and pepper
- Slice the gherkin, onion and tomato
- Wash the salad leaves
- Grate the cheese or cut into thin slices
- Season the burgers with coarse salt and pepper and rub with a little olive oil
- Then grill on both sides until medium rare, brush with butter, top one side with cheese and grill until done
- Grill the onion rings too
- Toast the buns on the grill for one to two minutes
- Spread the buns with the sauce and layer the burgers
Cooking tips
Place the moulded burgers in the fridge for half an hour or even overnight. This reduces the risk of them falling apart when grilling. Once you have placed the burgers on the grill, turn them as late as possible. This makes them less likely to stick to the grill. Make sure you have all your ingredients ready before you take the meat off the grill. This will keep the burger warm for longer.
