4 indoor activities for cold days

Children want to be entertained! But when it's too cold to go out with the kids, there are plenty of ideas for indoor activities. I've put together four ideas to make sure your child doesn't get bored at home.
Autumn doesn't always make things easy for us. Very cold in the morning, rather mild temperatures in the late afternoon and a return to freezing temperatures in the evening. When we're lucky, the sun shines from time to time and we can take a little walk around the playground. When you're not so lucky, it rains cats and dogs. So the big question is: what can I do with my child/children during these gloomy days? I've got four ideas for you if you decide to stay at home, warm and cosy.
1st idea: soft blanket to relax under
Does your child like to read, dance or sing? Then arranging a little relaxation corner is a good idea. Attach a bed canopy to the ceiling. Underneath, place a small child's seat, a footstool or mattress and lots of cushions. In a shelf or toy box next to it, you can store age-appropriate books, puzzles and, if possible, a children's radio. This way, everything is close at hand and you can sit back and relax. A cosy blanket, a small rug, pleasant light and decoration make the corner even more charming.

2nd idea: a hot bath
If just seeing the wind and rain freezes your bones, it's high time for a bath. For babies, it's advisable to use a baby bath. For children, or if you also want to bathe, a normal bathtub is perfect. Don't forget: for babies, 6-7 minutes in water at 37°C is enough. As they get cold very quickly, make sure the room temperature is a pleasant 22°C. After the bath, wrap and dress them quickly.
For more bathtime fun, as well as a bucket or ducks, you can also bring along some new gadgets. Bath crayons to colour in the bath, for example, or soap bubbles. These are ideal pastimes especially during early childhood.
3rd idea: retreat to a world of play
Do you have a child bursting with energy? Then we suggest setting up a small indoor playground that you can adapt if you need to. If you have lots of space, you can install a play tent, play mat and slide, for example. If your flat isn't as big, you can add a sofa, wardrobe, chairs or children's bed. With a few blankets you can easily create a tree house with different entrances. Your child will be delighted.
4th idea: developing fine motor skills
Is your child more of a creative type? Then give them a place where they can let their imagination run wild. As well as a chalkboard, a sofa with coloured pencils, paper, scissors and modelling clay, building bricks, sorting games and build-in games can also be provided. For babies, it's best to use an activity arch or motor skills toys. They offer fun and versatility, and are ideal if you don't have a lot of space.
