green.ch FTTH XGS-PON configuration with Swisscom-certified third-party router
Since virtually all Swisscom, Wingo and Sunrise FTTH XGS-GPON configurations are being discussed up and down the country, but for green.ch, excitingly, no conclusive discussion or can be found, here is a short configuration report on how I got FTTH (XGS-PON) up and running with green.ch: As a general rule, only routers and modules certified by Swisscom may be connected to the new 10 Gbit/s technology (XGS-PON). The list is linked at https://www.swisscom.ch/de... or can be found here: https://www.swisscom.ch/content... My experience with green.ch FTTH XGS-PON is based on a third-party router from Zyxel (PM7300-T0 in the standard configuration as a bridge, i.e. DHCP lease is queried by the firewall). - VLAN 10 - No DHCP options - No MAC address gimmicks (as with Sunrise, for example) I tried various combinations beforehand. I received the activation code via telephone support. I did not connect the router provided by green.ch beforehand but activated the connection directly via the third-party router.
