Revell Color is a synthetic resin enamel paint that does not attack the plastic surface of model kits. However, many other materials can also be painted with the 14-ml paint can, which is popular among many hobbyists. All colors, except for signal colors, are mixable with each other and can be thinned with Revell Color Mix. This allows the paint to be applied not only with a brush but also with a spray gun.
For cleaning, Revell Painta Clean is used for brushes and Revell Airbrush Clean for the spray gun.
This color is used:
- on Tornados of the German Navy for painting the undersides
- as an underside paint for US aircraft in Vietnam camouflage
- as a marking and identification color for most military aircraft with dark camouflage patterns.
