The Marder III Ausf. M (Sd.Kfz. 138) was a German tank destroyer during WW2 and was produced from May 1943 to May 1944. This Marder version used the specially adapted chassis of the Panzer 38(t) for self-propelled guns. The engine was pulled forward into the middle of the hull and the fighting compartment was lowered to the bottom of the hull, so that it was at least closed towards the rear and the crew of four was thus much better protected than in the predecessor models Sd.Kfz. 139 and Marder III Ausf. H. However, the crew remained unprotected towards the top. With more than 900 units, the M version was the most built of the three variants. The Marder III Ausf. M was armed with a 7.5 cm PAK 40 and as secondary armament with a 7.92 mm MG-34. The Marder III Ausf. M was a very effective but also vulnerable anti-tank weapon. It was replaced by the Jagdpanzer 38. Model with 367 parts, 1 figure, printed blocks and movable elements. Model dimensions (LxH): 15 x 10 cm.
