Does anyone have experience of using the Proxxon Thermocut 12/E, does it work ?

I started the combination today and heard the typical whistling sound for a few seconds, then nothing. And nothing gets hot either. I suspect something is burnt out in the Thermocut, because according to the voltmeter the power supply still delivers 12+V. (as this is my first Proxxon machine, I can't say for sure whether it's the power supply or the Thermocut).
According to the manual, the Thermocut should work with power supplies from 2A, so it should also run with the NG5 (and not be overloaded).

Answer

My NG5 is used for operating the pen grinder and for the multi-function device! I cannot judge at the moment whether it is suitable for the Thermocut. The manufacturer's operating instructions should be able to provide better information on performance.
