6. Rapunzel Bio Snacky Keimgerät
The classic for sprout enthusiasts with three tiers, designed for growing all types of sprouts. The device consists of multiple levels, allowing for the cultivation of three different seed varieties simultaneously. It operates on the greenhouse principle.
Growing sprouts in the sprouting device - here's how:
1. Preparation: Rinse the sprouting device with cold water. Place the device horizontally in a bright and warm location, avoiding direct sunlight. The red siphon caps should fit properly, but not too tightly, on the water drainage tubes.
2. Rinsing: Rinse the seeds thoroughly in a sieve under running water before sowing.
3. Sowing: Distribute the seeds evenly on the sprouting trays. Stack the trays so that the red drainage siphons are staggered and not directly on top of each other.
4. Watering: Pour water into the top tray until the siphon cap is completely covered (at least 0.5 liters) and water begins to drain. The individual seed trays will now be automatically watered in succession. A small amount of water will remain in each tray to create humidity, allowing the seeds to grow ideally. After the water has drained, empty the water collection tray and add a little fresh water to cover the bottom.
5. Harvesting: Harvest crisp, fresh sprouts and seedlings after 2-10 days. Wash the harvest before consumption. Sprouts can be stored in the refrigerator for several days.
6. Cleaning: All used items (sprouting device, siphon caps, sieve, watering container, spoon, etc.) must be thoroughly cleaned. It is best to use fruit vinegar and a soft brush. The device is dishwasher safe. Rinse with clear water and let it dry.

10. Eschenfelder Cress Sieve
The elegantly designed ceramic bowl by Eschenfelder boasts top quality. Made in Germany, it is high-fired (over 1200 °C), food-safe, extremely robust, and durable. Visually enhanced by a complete glaze, it is very easy to care for and dishwasher safe. A step integrated into the inner rim ensures that the stainless steel sieve always sits horizontally at a defined distance from the bottom of the bowl. This allows the roots to have the necessary space to develop healthily and be harvested together.
Please note that cress is among the seeds that need to lie still during germination. It is also suitable for other mucilaginous seeds such as arugula, mustard, chia, and flaxseed.
Here’s how to do it: Soak 1 teaspoon of seeds (12 cm), 2 teaspoons (16 cm), or 4 teaspoons (21.5 cm) for about 15 minutes, then spread the mixture on the sieve. Evenly distribute the seeds with a knife, ensuring they are not too densely packed. Cover everything with an inverted plate for the first two days to protect the seeds from drying out. Mist the seeds twice daily with a spray bottle. Once the roots have grown through the sieve, rinse the roots and seedlings twice a day under running water. Make sure no water remains in the bowl. You can start harvesting after 6-8 days.
Our tip: Cress also tastes great on pumpernickel. Color of the ceramic bowl: white.
