The specified power ratings of the PTO shaft in kW (HP) and Nm refer to an average lifespan of about 1000 hours, taking into account the necessary lubrication intervals. Increasing the specified power reduces the lifespan of the drive shaft, while decreasing the power extends its lifespan. The mentioned power ratings are valid for a deflection angle of 5° at standard joints. Therefore, it is advisable to choose a larger PTO shaft than required, but never a smaller one.

How do I find the right PTO shaft? These factors should be considered when selecting to ensure it meets the requirements of your specific application:

– Speed in revolutions per minute – should match the speed of the implement (typically 540 RPM and 1000 RPM). Note: Power is dependent on speed.
