However, removing the insulation is not permissible and endangers your own safety. With Wiha slimTECHNOLOGY, specifically developed for electrical applications, the protective insulation is integrated into the blade, allowing for blades that are up to 33% slimmer. This makes it easy to reach deep-seated screws and spring elements with the slimBits. The insulated slimBits are subjected to a piece test according to the international standard IEC 60900, enabling safe work on live parts up to 1,000 V AC. 6 mm slimBits can only be used with the slimVario® bit holder and slimTorque VDE bit holder (VDE torque system).
