A wrench is a hand tool for tightening or loosening screws and nuts with different drive profiles. Wrenches are placed on the drive profiles or recesses on the outer surface of the connecting elements and actuated in the direction of rotation. On the other hand, screwdrivers (colloquially known as screwdrivers) are tools which are inserted into the drive profile (short profile) of the fasteners at the front end and operated in the direction of rotation.
