The Stihl MS 172 is the perfect petrol chainsaw for DIY enthusiasts. The sawing performance is very good, as are the ergonomics when operating the saw. The chain is tensioned without tools, starting is wonderfully easy and there is very little vibration: a petrol chainsaw could hardly be better in terms of handling - five stars!
