The Rörstrand Ostindia collection draws its inspiration from a porcelain plate that sank in the sea from the Swedish East Indiaman "Götheborg" in 1745. The design, created in 1932, features a delicate ultramarine pattern on a soft blue background with a warm, rusty edge.

Under the guidance of designers such as Anna Lerinder, the collection has been modernized to suit today's lifestyle while preserving the elegance of the original collection. Each piece, from cups to plates to bowls, has been carefully updated, maintaining the heritage of the Ostindia collection.
