Yes, please build up several layers if vegetables, lettuce, etc. are to be planted. Do not use expanded clay, it is not needed as it is only used for training, which is not necessary here as the raised bed itself has a training layer. And then three layers: - At the bottom: 10 cm of branches, leaves, plant cuttings, chaff, wood shavings if necessary. The material rots over time, releasing nutrients and helping with water circulation at the same time. - Then compost (e.g. 60 litres of Migros organic garden compost) Migros organic garden compost (30 l) - Then raised bed soil (e.g. 40 litres of organic raised bed and vegetable soil) Compo BIO raised bed and vegetable soil - peat-free (40 l, peat-free soil) Migros-Bio Garden raised bed and vegetable soil (30 litres, peat-free soil) Fill the raised bed piece by piece and loosen the soil (crumble the clods by hand). Water lightly. Leave to stand for 2 or 3 days while it settles. Top up if necessary. Leave a rim when filling so that the young plants are somewhat protected from the wind. When filling, make sure that the float can move freely.

The article is simply ingenious! I also have my problems with the packaging system (I used to work there). There are standardised regulations on how packaging should be, including unbreakable, but some employees can't or don't want to adhere to them. Wrong attitude towards the environment and work. But I also know that they are constantly working on improving the packaging and securing the articles. I have been quite satisfied so far!

Hello Nicole . These parts are really great ! You only need to know the structure of a raised bed. Then you can fill in about 20 cm of soil. I started at the bottom with a little east on top of some straw and very important horse manure from the farmer . and then soil from the nursery . We have harvested strawberries, raspberries, lettuce for the second time, kohlrabi and herbs. Have fun ! Jörg

Hello Jacqueline 120 litres have plenty of room. Soil also settles after a while. Yes, put the soil directly into the raised bed. I put the bed at an angle so that the excess water can drain out better. I have 3 of the Keter Easy Growing (plastic, 120l). They are simply amazing. Very weatherproof and extremely stable. Vegetables grow wonderfully in the last two years only 2 slugs have reached the lettuce. So it's also very good against garden pests. Good luck with it.

Don't know yet. But I'll just fill in the soil and off I go. Easy to set up, very stable and the water tap is great.
