Based on reviews from previous buyers, it unfortunately does not seem to be possible to carry a pair of skis as well as a snowboard (apparently either two pairs of skis or two snowboards).

I have already done that. You have to pull on both metal brackets with a lot of force. Two at a time, if necessary. I then ran a thin knife between them. Then it works.

It would work, but only for 2skis + 2snow or 4snow. It only opens to one side (to the left), so to open and close the skis section would be complicated from the non-drivers side. 4snow would be ok since it uses rubber bands to fix them instead of the key system.

There is only one safety line for the front and one for the rear car door. This is "fixed" either on the driver's or the passenger's side. Roof rails should not be a problem in my opinion. The roof must be flat only where the carrier is mounted (magnetically "glued").
