According to the manufacturer, Amazon Echo and Google Home are supported. Apple Home is unfortunately not mentioned, so I assume that it does not work.

Without the protective conductor, the plug cannot actually be plugged in! Except with a manipulated extension cable...
Theoretically, it should actually work without the protective earth conductor, the connection is made via the existing WLAN. However, I also needed 3 - 4 attempts when pairing via the app.
At the beginning, the plug offers its own WLAN DSP-w115-XXX to which you must connect.
I can't say with the normal Dlink app it works everything else I don't know
You should request a return from your customer account if it is still within the time limit.

No, the socket is controlled via WLAN, not ZigBee. However, this does not matter when used with Google Home, for example.

We have several "Philips Hue bulbs" and two "D-Link Smart Plugs" (chandeliers) integrated in the Google Home, which works perfectly.
