Pattex Kleben statt Bohren

Whenever something needs to be fixed in the house or flat, Pattex adhesive is often the ideal solution instead of drilling mounting adhesive. It is easy to use and fixes immediately (after around 10 seconds it can hold around 50 kg/m² when glued over the entire surface).

Note: One of the two adhesive surfaces must be absorbent (porous).

Tips & tricks:
What is an absorbent surface?

This refers to any material that has a porous or permeable structure or is capable of absorbing liquids or moisture.

To easily test the absorbency of the substrate itself, spray water onto the intended bonding surface. The faster the substrate absorbs the water, the more absorbent it is.

Cleaning with playing cards:
After the gluing process, fold a playing card and remove the excess adhesive along the edges of the glued object. This is how easy it is to remove protruding adhesive.

How much glue is needed?

To achieve the ideal bond, we recommend using between 200 g and 400 g of Pattex adhesive per square metre.

Simple application:
If you are using a Pattex glue cartridge, simply cut the tip of the cartridge at an angle with a knife or pliers. This makes application easier and ensures precise dosing of the adhesive.
