The best Pro Alu of all time. In the newly reissued Ortovox classic, the most innovative materials and modern manufacturing processes are used to achieve the perfect weight-to-stiffness ratio. Stabilization ribs and high sidewalls make the anodized blade stiff, while the integrated shaft attachment makes it easy to pack. With the new quick-release mechanism, the blade and the groove-shaped telescopic shaft can be assembled with one hand. The revolutionary new T-Grip Pro can be adjusted for both left- and right-handed users, and it forms the basis for the ergonomic lifting function. One hand finds support on the long grip side, which serves as an ergonomic pulling lever, while the other hand has maximum grip on the rubberized grip zone of the shaft.

Pocket Spike
As simple as it is brilliant, our new Pocket Spike is designed to be carried most of the time in your backpack (or in your pocket - hence the name). The Pocket Spike comes into play when things get tricky on the final meters to the summit or during an uncomfortable traverse in steep terrain. It can be attached to the handle of the Pro Alu III shovel with just two hand movements, providing additional protection. The Pocket Spike consists of two parts: the sharp forged blade made from AL 7075 T6 and the shaft tip, which replaces the shovel blade. Both parts slide together without sharp edges and weigh only 95 grams. It is suitable for tours where you appreciate a little extra support in the final stretch.
