Ortovox Kodiak

Aggressive shovel with a unique clearing function and an effective D-grip. The Kodiak features a shovel volume of 3.1 liters, making it the largest in our range and thus the fastest shovel available. Additionally, the blade is extremely stiff (AL 6061 T6 = the best material for shovels), yet it is pack-friendly and fits easily into any Ortovox backpack. The edge is sharpened, and the top edge is equipped with non-slip tread grooves. The shaft is oval (stiff), telescopic, and has a textured rubber coating. The D-grip is considered the most ergonomic handle on the market and delivers real power in the snow. It has been designed to be more compact compared to the previous version without sacrificing working length. Also new is the flat shovel blade, which is now perfect for professional snow profiles. The clearing function is unique. The connection between the handle and blade is indestructible, saving crucial seconds when it comes to the safety of your companions.
