Loctite 7200 is used to facilitate the removal of cured chemical gaskets. The material is sprayed on. After application, the product forms a foamy film on the gasket, preventing the active ingredient from running off the area. The material remains on the surface and dissolves sealant residues. Typical applications include the removal of chemical gaskets of all kinds from metal flanges. The product is particularly suitable for aluminum or other soft metal flanges, which could be damaged by scraping off the gasket.
