It intentionally features small holes in the center to allow for air and water exchange and to prevent the water from becoming stagnant. Furthermore, the solar cover cannot sink in the water during rain. For maximum effectiveness, the air bubbles should face downwards. The solar pool cover sits directly on the water, significantly reducing water evaporation and protecting the water from contaminants.
