The lawn aerator has a width of 430 mm and a diameter of 150 mm.

It increases water supply, provides the grass roots with more oxygen, and allows the lawn to breathe better. This improves nutrient absorption during scarifying or aerating.

It should be noted that scarifying is a more intensive form of aeration, as it involves cutting into the grass mat. This process removes mulch, moss, and any leaves that may be in the grass. The soil can now breathe again and absorb nutrients, which is why fertilizing the lawn is particularly recommended after scarifying or aerating. Additionally, it is important to ensure adequate watering so that the lawn achieves a nice rich color and can grow back densely. After scarifying or aerating is also the best time for overseeding, as the soil is optimally prepared and the seeds find the best conditions.

What should be used for scarifying or aerating?

Each of the two processes requires its own device. Aerating the lawn is done with a so-called aerator, also referred to as an aerification device. In contrast, scarifying is carried out with a scarifier or a scarifying machine.

What additional treatments are recommended after scarifying or aerating?

The soil should be well watered after these processes to achieve the greatest effect. It is also advisable to spread an additional portion of fertilizer, as it is now particularly well absorbed by the lawn.
