Eschenfelder Cress sieve

With this cress sieve, you can harvest freshness and health every day, as the delicious, crunchy sprouts provide you with chlorophyll, vital enzymes, and nutrients all year round. A step integrated into the inner rim keeps the stainless steel sieve always level at a defined distance from the bottom of the bowl. This allows the roots to have the necessary space to develop healthily and be harvested along with the sprouts. Please note that cress belongs to the seeds that need to remain undisturbed during germination. It is also suitable for other mucilaginous seeds such as arugula, mustard, chia, and flaxseed.

Here's how to do it: Soak 1 teaspoon of seeds (12 cm), 2 teaspoons (16 cm), or 4 teaspoons (21.5 cm) for about 15 minutes, then place the mixture on the sieve. Spread the seeds evenly and not too densely on the sieve with a knife. Cover everything with an inverted plate for the first two days to protect the seeds from drying out. Mist the seeds twice daily with a spray bottle. Once the roots have grown through the sieve, rinse the roots and sprouts under running water twice a day. Ensure that no water remains in the bowl. You can start harvesting after just 6-8 days.
