Battery Revolution: The new 54 Volt XR FLEXVOLT batteries from DEWALT provide power for the heaviest applications. The innovative Li-Ion batteries are backward compatible and can be used in nearly all machines from the 18 Volt XR range. They offer a very high battery performance of 216 Wh, making them ideally suited for extremely heavy applications over extended periods. There is effective protection against overload, overheating, and deep discharge through specialized electronics. With a very high runtime due to the 12 Ah battery capacity (at 18 Volt configuration), they are perfectly suited for tough job site use thanks to a robust housing and shock-resistant soldered battery cells. The battery is easy to transport, as the cell levels are mechanically separated, keeping the watt-hour output of the battery below the dangerous goods class 9 threshold of 100 Wh. A charge status indicator with 3 LEDs is also included (activated by a button press). Compatible with all DeWALT XR battery machines with 54 and 18 Volts (except band saw DCS 371 and radios DCR 016, DCR 017, and Tough-Radio).
