The construction of bitumen dumbbells differs significantly from that of cast iron dumbbells. Instead of cast iron, a plastic-coated bitumen compound is used. For the same weight, bitumen dumbbells are much larger than cast iron dumbbells and less comfortable to use with more discs. However, they are more suitable for beginners.
