Petzl Glacier

The Petzl Glacier ice axe is a true specialist for high-altitude tours. In steep, hard-packed, icy terrain, it can fully utilize its lightweight design of just 350 grams. The super-light anodized aluminum shaft is corrosion-resistant and features an ergonomically shaped grip that feels good in the hand, which is especially important when the axe is used under tension. The pick and shovel are made of high-quality steel, providing a comfortable handrest with their compact surface. The three-millimeter thick, tapered pick penetrates hard snow effortlessly and can be placed securely. The Glacier's handling is a pure joy due to its balance and ease of use. Large holes in the pick and at the end of the shaft allow for the attachment of carabiners and loops, which can be used for securing in the terrain or for transporting the ice axe on a backpack. If desired, the included hand strap can be used to secure the ice axe to the user.
