The Carve is a powerful, responsive, and controllable kite, ideal for carving the wave, diving into a barrel, or boosting strapless tricks. Designed with a stable structure and lower proportions for fast turns and excellent drifts, the Carve offers an extremely direct feel to bar pressure and steering input. For 2023, we have repositioned the Carve in its wave riding category. Refined harnesses for a longer, more progressive ride make the kite feel smoother and more responsive throughout the depower range. It remains responsive when you pull back, all the way to the end. The improved overall balance also enhances drift, allowing the kite to glide down the line as you surf, waiting for bar input. More intuitive control, especially when the kite is out of sight during a big bottom turn, cut back, or in a barrel, means you can concentrate fully on the surf.

The Carve features a slightly reduced leading edge diameter and thinner profiles, providing smoother power delivery, improving the high-end wind range, and allowing you to surf deeper for longer. The kite no longer pulls you off the rail as aggressively, resulting in smoother landings on big jumps. The Carve 2023 can also be restarted more quickly in critical situations. We have introduced lighter inner tubes in all sizes and a lighter two-layer hood reinforcement. This reduces weight and helps improve turning speed in light winds while maintaining the Carve's surf-ready durability. The Carve now flies faster, generating more power and board speed. Experienced riders will benefit from the kite's impressive power and efficiency, while intermediate riders will find it smoother and easier to ride. Freeriders and strapless freestylers will appreciate the improved hang time and grip.
