The Carve is a powerful, responsive, and controllable kite, ideal for carving in the waves, diving into a barrel, or boosting strapless tricks. Designed with a stable low-aspect ratio for quick turns and excellent drift, the Carve provides an extremely direct feel for bar pressure and steering input. For 2023, we have reintroduced the Carve into its wave surf category. A refined bridging for a longer and more progressive travel means that the kite feels softer and more responsive throughout the entire depower range. It still reacts when you pull back – right to the end. The improved overall balance also enhances the drift, allowing the kite to glide along the line while waiting for your bar input during surfing. More intuitive control – especially when the kite is not visible during a big bottom turn, cut back, or roll – means you can focus 100% on surfing. The Carve features a slightly smaller leading edge diameter and thinner profiles. This gives the kite a smoother power delivery, improves the high-end wind range, and helps you roll longer in the pocket. The kite no longer throws you off the rail as aggressively, and you land softer on big jumps. The Carve 2023 can also be relaunched faster in critical situations. We have introduced lighter bags and a lighter two-layer canopy reinforcement across all sizes. This reduces weight and helps improve turning speed in light winds while maintaining the durability of the surf-ready Carve. The Carve now flies faster and generates more power and board speed. It pulls against the wind. Experienced riders will benefit from the impressive power and efficiency of the kite, while advanced riders can take advantage of the Carve's capabilities.
