The Carve is a powerful, responsive and controllable kite, ideal for carving into the wave, diving into a barrel or boosting strapless tricks. Designed with a stable, lower aspect ratio design for fast turns and excellent drifts, the Carve has an extremely direct feel from bar pressure and steering input. For 2023, we've put the Carve back in its wave surfing class. A refined bridle for longer, more progressive travel means the kite is smoother and more responsive throughout the depower range. It's still responsive when you pull out - all the way. The improved overall balance also improves drift, allowing the kite to glide along the line as you surf, waiting for your helm input. More intuitive control - especially when the kite isn't visible during a big bottom turn, cut back or in a barrel - means you can concentrate 100% on surfing. The Carve has a slightly reduced leading edge diameter and thinner profiles. This gives the kite smoother power, improves the high-end wind range and helps you ride longer in the pocket. The kite no longer pulls you off the rail as aggressively and you land softer on big jumps. The Carve 2023 can also be restarted more quickly in critical situations. We've introduced lighter pockets in all sizes and a lighter 2-layer bonnet reinforcement. This reduces weight and helps improve turning speed in light winds, while maintaining the Carve's surf-ready durability. The Carve now flies faster, generating more power and board speed. It pulls into the wind. Experienced riders will benefit from the kite's impressive power and efficiency, while intermediate riders will find it easier to ride.
