On the Kita-W Hybrid, we used our Internal Heel Lock technology for ultimate heel hold. A turn of the side BOA tightens the internal harness in three dimensions—interior, exterior, and from above—lowering both sides of the tongue downwards and preventing heel lift. The modern design is inspired by space, polar, and mountain expeditions. Most of the components are welded rather than sewn to the upper, giving it a unique seamless build that enhances waterproofing and durability. We’ve added a tough TPU shield around the front called ArmorTech to protect your toes when billygoating.

Underneath, we used our Vibram Approach outsole to improve traction on cold and icy surfaces, with two EVA inserts for dampening. The whole outsole then connects to the Exo Spine seamlessly, eliminating exposed edges at the back. With a top-of-the-line, heat moldable Wrap-style Asym Gold Liner inside, comfort and support are guaranteed out of the box, and there’s a really consistent flex for superlative performance.
